Acceptable use policy

The SMS rules every Kisoasms customer follows: consent, opt-outs, prohibited content, carrier terms, and enforcement.

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Customers send only to people who agreed to receive their messages. Every opt-out is honoured promptly, and lists are never bought, scraped, or borrowed. If a recipient says stop, they stop hearing from that customer.

2. Prohibited content

No spam, phishing, fraud, impersonation, harassment, or illegal content — ever. This includes:

  • Messages pretending to be a bank, operator, or government body.
  • One-time codes or verification messages for accounts the sender does not operate.
  • Bulk unsolicited promotion, regardless of how the numbers were obtained.
  • Content illegal under Malagasy law.

3. Carrier and telecom rules

Customers follow Malagasy telecom rules and their carrier's terms — Telma, Orange, and Airtel each set their own. A carrier that blocks a SIM for policy abuse is a carrier problem the customer owns, not a Kisoasms outage.

4. Your SIMs and phones

The customer is responsible for the SIMs and phones it pairs: keeping them charged, reachable, and running the gateway app, and paying the carrier charges they generate.

5. Enforcement

Kisoasms may suspend organizations or phones that break these rules, without warning where abuse is ongoing — a spam run in progress is stopped first and discussed after. Repeated or severe abuse ends the account.
